It is 1.5in wide with a small channel machined in the underside for a perfect fit. Attaches to OTA using existing mounting screws. The Bogen Mini Ball Head was chosen because of it's smooth motion and stable locking features. The ball head will handle camera and lenses up the 3.5lbs.
