The Hoya 72mm UV HRT Circular Polariser filter is a revolutionary design that combines two filters; UV and Circular Polariser into one high-quality filter in a single ring. This filter eliminates reflections and ultraviolet (UV) rays to cut through glare. The High Resolution and Transmission polarising film (HRT) helps ensure vivid and saturated colours, with better contrast. It is highly recommended for landscape photography and photographing shiny non-metallic materials or surfaces such as water, glass, watches, paintings etc.

The benefits of this special high-transparency polarization film is that it transmits about 25% more light than other polarizers with the standard polarizing film. The polarization effect is just as strong, though. This filter also has the added benefit of the UV absorbing properties of a UV filter.

This filter allows you to remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc. It also enables colors to become more saturated and appear clearer, with better contrast. This effect is often used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds.
