The Manfrotto 055XBK classic black tripod with a 701HDV Pro Fluid Video Mini Head is specifically designed to support the latest prosumer and professional light and compact HD camcorders. The Manfrotto 701HDV has been created for improved ergonomics with locks and knobs that allow for a more solid grip and better control, as well as a better fluidity thanks to the improved internal fluid cartridges, a double pan-bar rosette and a bigger sliding plate to optimise the position of the camera considering its centre of gravity. The 055XBK Classic Black Tripod was built on the same ergonomically improved design as the Manfrotto 055XPROB, but without the horizontal centre column feature, which therefore makes the 055XB lighter in weight and slightly more compact. The ergonomics of the leg angle release mechanism and the quick action leg locks have also been greatly improved with the leg angle presets allowing the camera to reach all intermediate heights from min-max extension.
