The Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG Macro HSM II is an upgraded version of the 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG Macro HSM telephoto zoom lens. The Sigma HSM II features a large constant maximum aperture of f2.8 throughout the entire zoom range and a constant 100cm minimum focusing distance throughout the range means that this lens is great for close up work such as insects and small animals in particular, as these situations require a greater working distance to avoid disturbing your subject and thus ruining the shot.

APO Tele-Converter EX
The Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX DG Macro HSM II lens can be used with the optional 1.4x EX or 2.0x EX Apo Tele Converters, becoming a 98-280mm F4 Autofocus telephoto zoom lens or a 140-400mm F5.6 Autofocus telephoto zoom lens respectively. It is also possible to use the AE (Automatic Exposure) function whilst the EX Tele-converters are attached.
