T-POD tripods were originally developed for Avalon mounts and are red anodized according to the company's colors. The 110mm high T-POD tripod with a black anodised surface is therefore suitable for mountings in which the red anod is too strong as a foreign body.
The Baader T-Pod aluminum tripod provides an interesting combination of good design and functionality. The low weight and the small pack size coupled with the high torsional rigidity and load carrying capacity makes it the perfect companion for mobile observers and demanding astrophotographers. After several comparisons by us and our customers the strength of our Baader hardwood stand is equal. Especially the double screw clamp of the T-POD Tripodbeine is compared to the economical clamping devices of many standard tripods as a great improvement felt.
The material mix of anodized aluminum and stainless steel guarantees a long life. A matching carrying bag is included. Thanks to the built-in tripod spider the construction is a children's play, there are no loose screws or separate parts. With the pre-adjusted canibelle, you can align the tripod quickly and accurately. The feet of the tripod are equipped with rubber feet for hard or sensitive subsoil. Alternatively, the tripod legs can be equipped with optionally available hardened steel tips for entry into soft soils. Very handy is the carry handle on one of the tripod legs, with which you can transport any tripod conveniently. There, our "Baader Utility Bag" can also be attached, which holds all the dust covers and other small things (flashlight ..), which is usually desperate after an observation night.
The headboard of the black Baader T-POD stand is modified by Avalon so that all mounting flanges of the Baader hardwood stand can also be mounted directly on the black T-POD stand. The range of available Baader flange heads for mountings ranges from pin flanges for Zeiss IB and Telementor mounts to our NexStar flange head for all Celestron SE and EVO telescopes.
It is also possible to adapt to the T-POD by installing Sky-Watcher / Orion, EQ6 / Atlas and AZEQ6 / Atlas Pro AZEQ-G, Celestron CGEM, Losmandy G11, Takahashi EM200 and Vixen SXV / SXD / SXP / SXD2.
The T-Pod head plate fits either directly under the o.g. Mounts or an optional adapter - we will be pleased to advise you.
