MoonLite's CS model focusers for SCT's come in with a high quality dual speed mechanism. Now fitted with Moonlite High Resolution Stepper Motor Kit and Mini Controller V2!
The shaft lock system is located on the left knob allowing the focusers position to be locked using a micro compression ring clamp on the knob. This type of lock does not push against the draw tube like other lock systems do. There is no image shift with this style of shaft lock system.
Due to their impressive build quality its effortless to get the perfect focus needed for both visual and astro imaging. A good aftermarket focuser is key for stunning sharp images.
These focusers fit a variety of telescopes as various flanges are available. The standard SCT 2" is the one to choose for just standard SCT tubes up to around 10" - 12". The larger format flanges are available for larger SCT tubes with the wider 3.25" thread on the back. The tall flanges are available if you want to use a focal reducer inside the focuser. If you have a focal reducer, then please select the tall option, either for the standard 2" or again for the larger format 3.25" threads.

Moonlite High Resolution Stepper Motor Kit With Mini Controller V2
All MoonLite's High Resolution stepper motor options use a premium, low backlash Hurst stepper motor. This provides very fine .00008" resolution and accurate position repeatability required for today's high end imaging systems. It comes as an option on all single and dual rate model focusers (SCT, Refractor, and Newtonian). It has such a fine variable rate that the reduction unit is not needed, so it is not offered on dual rate focusers. The Power slip clutch system allows both motor and manual focus control of the focuser at any time.
The miniV2 is an ASCOM compliant stepper motor controller for Moonlite's High Res Stepper Motors. The controller works with all ASCOM based software packages out there today such as Focus Max, CCDSoft, MaximDL, etc. Besides ASCOM drivers for both 32 bit and 64 bit systems, we also provide an Non ASCOM software program for customers that are not running ASCOM based programs and need only a basic program to operate the focuser on a PC. Works great for a simple remote focus solution. The miniV2 controller has built in temperature sensor as well as a remote temp probe. The controller runs on 12 Volts DC and we include an AC adapter that has all the different plug configurations (US, Europe, UK, and Australia); however, most customers will simply use 12-volt power off their mount. This new miniV2 controller is designed to be used by a PC or its manual buttons and speed control knob for manual operation at the scope. All cables are included with the controller.
