Free moon filter worth £19.99 with this telescope! Simply add the telescope to your basket and the free filter will automatically be added!
The Sky-Watcher STAR DISCOVERY P150i has been designed to be controlled wirelessly with your Smartphone or Tablet, using the free SynScan App for iOS or Android. The supplied Synscan™ Wi-Fi module creates it’s very own Wi-Fi network, so the mount can be used anywhere, without any reliance on other WiFi or mobile networks. After entering your coordinates into the App and following a simple alignment procedure, you are ready to explore the universe using the App’s intuitive touchscreen menu.
The STAR DISCOVERY P150i and SynScan™ App provides full computerised GO-TO control, allowing the telescope to be automatically slewed to any one of the objects in the App’s extensive database of 10,000+ celestial objects. Incorporates Sky-Watcher’s Freedom-Find™ patented Dual-Encoder Technology, which allows the telescope to be moved manually in either axis without the mount losing its positional information. This gives the user enormous freedom, convenience and flexibility during observational sessions.
With an extremely useful 150mm of light gathering aperture and a superb parabolic primary mirror the STAR DISCOVERY P150i is a highly capable all-rounder for the observation of the Moon, bright planets, nebulae, galaxies and star clusters, and is easy to carry and transport.

Purchased this 3 months plus ago. after a long spell from been 21 years old to now 61 and been away from astronomy for over 40 years. the wifi150i telescope is a very good starting point depending on your budget and how much time you have and more to the point what is your aim or expectations. I wanted from the start to get into deep space, clusters, galaxies, gas nebula. so buying a low end scope was never going to be any good for this. the 150 was a good starter mid range size mirror, and a good stop of F5 this is very important as it keeps your view bright any higher and it will go down hill with the brightness. so the results have been mind blowing and from what you can see with the naked eye and then with the 25mm plossl eye piece which is the most used for deep space viewing. but since then I went and purchased a wider eye piece and purchased a 40mm eye piece also a anti pollution filter dont be put of by the comments you will have restricted views in Cities and need to drive miles away to get away from the light pollution problems am less than 3 miles to my city center here in Sheffield and enjoying the view. also its not always about the power of the telescope and using more higher powered eye pieces. yes the 10mm plossl that came with the scope is good and as specially looking at Jupiter and the Moon at 0100am in the morning is very good bare in mind forget about the nice coloured images we all see on the internet. again live viewing is not the same you will find some nights and early mornings can be different and you dont get the same viewing due to atmospheric conditions and changes. as a starter and even a serous mid range telescope you will not go wrong with this one. setting the scope up via the phone app on 2 or 3 star alignment is easy enough, it points to and were you want to go to from the choice with in the software app which is a very big choice depending what you want to view. so the wifi and the mount or easy to set up.I must stress it is about what you pay for and what you expectand get out of what you have purchased. this hobby does not come cheap you get what you pay for dont buy cheap and expect big results. ask Adam or Ian at Rother Valley Optics for advise you will not go wrong. So the wifi 150i Skywatcher gets a 5 star from me. even though I have a Celestron C6 XLT OTA i still use my 150i more.
